2000 years ago the average human lifespan was 30 years of age. Between 1850-1920 lifespans began to increase rapidly. Now for the first time in history, those numbering over 30 years of age is larger than those below 30 years of age. From 2013 to 2050, the median age in North America will increase from 37 to 41 years. Latin and South America will increase from 27 to 41. Europe will increase from 40 to 46 Africa will increase from 19 to 25 and their population will increase by 115%. In fact they will represent 50% of global population growth by 2050. North America’s population will jump 26% and Latin and South America will increase 27%. Europe will fall 4%. Is bringing in immigrants, if it is done in a controlled manner, really a bad idea?
Asians will see their average age increase from 29 to 40 and Oceana will see their increase from 32 to 37 years. Asia’s population will increase by 20% and Oceana will jump 48%. So we can see that the current median age is around 30 and by 2050 it will increase to 40. By 2025 there will be one billion more people on the planet and 300 million will be over the age of 65.
