I try and build up certain facts with more research, but certain facts are harder to pursue and there is only so much time in the day so here are some “bits and pieces”. 1) Turkey joined NATO in 1952 with Greece. Tactical nukes from the US were deployed in Turkey during the cold war in 1961, of which there are now 50. President Erdogan says a country the status of Turkey should have nukes. Why haven’t they been pulled out? 2) The amount of foreign aid the US spends each year is less than 1% of the GDP, with $39.2 billion allocated in this last fiscal year. (That is a repeat but worth repeating). 3) 207 children under the age of 5 were separated from immigrant parents before “zero tolerance” was fully implemented. How many have been returned? 2,800 families were broken up officially. Several weeks ago another 1,556 families were admitted to have been broken up as well. Note this situation has faded from the public’s view. 4) Large consuming companies made a pledge to recycle 25% of their plastic by 2025. 25%. Coca Cola has reached 9% so far. Danone, 6.4%. Nestle, 2%, Unilever has reached less than 1%. Go into any BJs or COSTCO and walk down the drink isle. Plastic bottles wrapped in heavy plastic wrap. That will be with us for centuries. 5) Demand for steel from the auto sector is expected to fall by 33% by 2030 as cars try go lighter. The Chinese car sector may see a drop by as much as 74% as they push for electric vehicles and use aluminum and carbon fiber. 6) Ford had already stopped production in Australia a number of years ago and now they have ceased production in Brazil after 62 years, laying off the remaining 700 workers that were in the ABC plant. 7) The first whistle blower case protection in the world came about in 1778 in the United States, when someone pointed the finger at the Commander and Chief of the Navy, Essex Hopkins as he was furthering his own business sailing some ships to the Caribbean instead of the Chesapeake Bay as instructed by President Washington as we were still fighting the British. The whole idea of whistle blowing was to protect us from elites. In that case it is very American. The whole idea to expose the identity goes against the whole idea of whistleblowing. Ridiculous.
